Today's lunchtime activity for Kindness Week at FMS was a Kindness Emoji Challenge where students found positive quotes that were associated with common emojis used in texting. A positive emoji can always brighten someone's day!

We would like to recognize our FMS November Students of the Month. The staff is choosing 4 8th graders and 4 7th graders each month that display the S.O.A.R. expectations in our building. Each Student of the Month will receive 5 S.O.A.R. tickets for upcoming drawings, 2 Free Saginaw Spirit Tickets courtesy of Century 21 Signature Realty - Andrew Hauck , and an invite to our end of the year Student of the Month Dinner in May.

We continue to celebrate Kindness Week at FMS. Today we had a Kindness Themed Trivia Day and our champions knew all about being kind to others. Thank you to Mr. Duley for providing the prizes for our winners.

FMS just finished a 3 week lunch intramural volleyball tournament under the direction of Mrs. Gotts (Thank you!!). Team Sigma won the controversial championship game 22-21 as the bell went off right before the Smurf Cats scored what would have been the tying point.

It is fun to highlight our Falcons that are doing cool things. Alex Freier (FMS) is part of a segment called 'It's Your Dollar' every month at Wake Up Midland. It is an event for 250+ business professionals & his segment highlights local non-profits. Great job, Alex!

The Optimist Club of Saginaw held their Youth Appreciation Luncheon. Congrats to Isabella Reed (FHS), Vanessa Pierre (FMS), Hailey Breasbois (FMS) & Wyatt Henning (FHS) who were honored at this event due to their positive involvement in school and in the community.

FMS, with help from FES and the Learning Center, will be selling Falcon clog charms with the proceeds going to support our SOAR program. The cost is $5 and you can get them in the office of each of those buildings starting tomorrow, Friday, November 10.

It was a fun time for all at our first middle school dance of the year. The dance floor was full and the students were great all afternoon. It was a fabulous way to celebrate the end of the 1st marking period which is tomorrow, October 27.

Today is Costume Day and the students chose the winners of Spookiest Costume, Most Creative Costume, and Best Costume at lunch today. We are looking forward to a fun afternoon with our Halloween Dance taking place after school.

We have many 'Barbie Girls' in the middle school today for our Barbie & Ken Spirit Day. Looking forward to seeing the unique costumes tomorrow for school and our Halloween Dance which takes place after school tomorrow until 4:30 pm.
