Yesterday we held our 3rd Marking Period SOAR Drawing in the Middle School. It was a great way to return from Spring Break and kick off our testing cycle next week. Congrats to our Falcons! #GoFalcons

Our FMS Student Leadership classes are putting on a Spring Coyer Candle Fundraiser. Students are selling candles, air fresheners and wax melts in person and also online, which is a new feature! Money made from this fundraiser will help students attend conferences to help them grow as leaders, plan fun events for all students at FMS, and so much more! We hope all of our Falcons are enjoying their spring break! Students in Ms. Heckman's 8th grade science participated in the 'Bubbles vs. Mountain' experiment yesterday. They learned about how precipitation is impacted by geography. Who says a bubble machine can't be scientific? #GoFalcons

Sixty-two FMS girls spent this past Friday at Girls Day Out sponsored by Delta College. The focus of the event was to introduce young women to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). A few of the activities were 3D printed jewelry, circuit building, extracting DNA, building a computer, and driving a robot. Lots of problem solving and critical thinking were needed. Each Student of the Month will receive 5 S.O.A.R. tickets for upcoming drawings, a gift card and a few other small prizes. The next SOAR drawing will be on Monday, March 31. This week had some tough songs but this group got the most important song out of the 7 correct; who doesn't like the best boy band ever, New Kids on the Block? They earned 9 out of 14 points to earn SOAR slips and this shout out on social media. #GoFalcons

FMS Student Leadership traveled back to Frankenmuth for the Middle Level State Tour where students reflected on events they put on this year, learned about new events to put on and worked collaboratively with students from other schools on how to take charge, put on an assembly, and working with peers in certain situations. It was a fun day! #GoFalcons
