Yesterday FMS had their annual Feliz Navidad Dodgeball tournament with the Water Polo Gods coming in first place! The staff, with MVP Mr. Wildey, tried to give them a run for their money but youth was definitely on the side of many of our teams. We will give the staff their flowers for best costume! #GoFalcons

It has been a little bit but we brought back our FMS Categories game today at lunch. This group knew more Christmas things that start with the letter "T" and boys' names that start with the letter "D" than the rest of their peers. They earned SOAR slips for our drawing tomorrow afternoon! #GoFalcons

Today the Elves from McDonald Ford of Freeland delivered wrapped gifts from the Christmas Wish Lists of some of our FCSD Families. We thank them along with QuickLane Freeland and our staff who worked together to make this holiday a special one for some of our families in need. #GoFalcons

Today's FMS Spirit Day was Homeroom Family Photo Day and the 4th hour classes did it right! We have two more fun days planned this week, including our Feliz Navidad Dodgeball Tournament tomorrow after school and SOAR drawing on Friday. #GoFalcons

Today's FMS Trivia was all about Christmas and, for the second time this year, Jude Kade was the champion playing against over 20 teams of FMS students. This was our last trivia day of 2024 and we will be back at it after the break! #GoFalcons

The FMS 7th and 8th grade bands did a great job of getting everyone in the holiday spirit this evening. Always a fan favorite, the bands combined to play 'Swingle Bells' to end the concert. Thank you to Mr. Shaw for your continued direction of our band program! #GoFalcons

Today was Candy Cane Day at FMS and there was red and white throughout the hallways. Thanks to our students and staff for bringing the spirit this week. 3 days to go! #GoFalcons

It is the last week before Christmas Break but the staff at FMS was getting in the spirit all last week with an 'Underground' Spirit Week for Staff and starting again this morning by making sure Mrs. Thunberg's office was 'Holiday Ready.' While we don't have pictures of every dress up day, these two shown were Monochromatic Monday and Favorite Team Tuesday. It took the students a couple of days but they started figuring out the themes as the week went on. Life is always fun in the Middle! #GoFalcons

FMS is having our annual Holiday Spirit Week. We have fun things planned all week including dress up days. Today's theme was Holiday Headwear Day and the students were on their game! #GoFalcons

We tried a new competition at FMS lunch today - Name That Tune. Songs were played for 10 seconds and students had to guess the song and artist. Despite some technical difficulties, the students once again showed their competitive spirit and this crew won the first ever "Name that Tune Friday" to earn SOAR slips! #GoFalcons

We would like to recognize our FMS December Students of the Month. The staff is choosing 4 8th graders and 4 7th graders each month that display the S.O.A.R. expectations in our building. Each Student of the Month will receive 5 S.O.A.R. tickets for upcoming drawings along with Saginaw Spirit tickets sponsored by Century 21 Signature Realty - Andrew Hauck. The next SOAR drawing will be on the Friday before Christmas Break. Congratulations to our 7th Grade Falcons! #GoFalcons

In the spirit of our first Snow Day of the year which was last week on Thursday, the trivia theme was all about winter. This group ended up as champions earning them SOAR slips and this shout out on social media! #GoFalcons

Congratulations to FMS Students Autumn Gillis and Morgan Kowalewski on winning the local Patriot's Pen essay contest sponsored by the VFW Post 9809. The theme of this year's essay was My Voice in America's Democracy. They will be honored at a dinner event in St. Louis, MI on January 11. Both students will have a chance to have their essays judged and possibly move on to the state competition in Kalamazoo. #GoFalcons

Did you know that each year our school counselors throughout the district organize Holiday Help for some of our families in need? This year, McDonald Ford reached out to us on how they could help and our counselors are currently working with them to make the holiday season magical for some of our families. As the list of needs kept growing, McDonald Ford enlisted Quick Lane Freeland for additional support of this program and we look forward to sharing how this is progressing and how you can help over the next few weeks! #GoFalcons
