Good luck to the Freeland Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams as they run in the State Finals today. Go Falcons!

Good news from the bus garage!!! River Road will be opening this Saturday! Next week we will be changing some of the bus routes that were effected by the closure. Please keep an eye out for notification of route updates.
Also, as the weather gets colder and students are more likely to wait for the bus in a vehicle, inside a garage, on a porch, etc, we would like to remind everyone to please be at their stop, outside of the vehicle, and near the road at the scheduled bus time. Students should not be running to the bus as it pulls up. Thank you so much!! Enjoy the beautiful weather we are going to have this weekend!!

Thank you to Freeland's amazing businesses that support the Falcon Pride initiative! Started over 12 years ago as a way for our littlest Falcons to show their pride, this initiative grew from every kindergarten stduent receiving a shirt - to include every 3rd & 6th grade student also receiving a shirt. Yesterday the 4th graders received their shirts (they did not get one last spring due to everything happening). Please thank our awesome business owners for sponsoring the shirts for 2019-2020: Kloha Contracting (Kim Kloha), Super Cute (Kara Ellis), Mid Mi Gymnastics, Freeland Sports Zone, Freeland Family Dentistry (Kelly Lennan Dee), R1SE (Trevor Szafranski), Pat’s Food Center & Do It Best Hardware (Patty Galbraith), and ATS!

This week, Freeland Learning Center is highlighting one of our lunchroom and recess paraprofessionals, Mrs. Kara Reinke. Mrs. Reinke has been working in that role for the past five years. Mrs. Reinke is also a parent in the district with a daughter in sixth grade. Mrs. Reinke is very positive and patient and always ready to help out the students in the lunchroom or outside at recess.
When asked what she finds most rewarding about her position, Mrs. Reinke said, “Helping the kids and getting to see them make friends. I love hearing their stories and laughter in the lunchroom.” She also shared that what she enjoys most about working in the Freeland Community School District is meeting all of the students and their great families.
Thank you Mrs. Reinke for your dedication to the students and families of the Freeland Learning Center and for all you do for the Freeland Community School District.
