
Saturday, Freeland crowned four Individual District Wrestling Champions: Cole Fournier, Noah Graham, Gibby Shepherd, & Tyler Tomasek. Additionally, Nolan VanLoo (2), Ty Fournier (3), Wilson Longenecker (3), & Cayden Remainder (4) qualified for the Individual Regionals.
Tonight Freeland hosts the Team Wrestling Regional, with the Falcons completing against Ogemaw Heights, Bullock Creek, & Chip Hills for the right to attend the State Finals.

Freeland Poms had a great showing at the State Finals over the weekend, placing 3rd overall. Congratulations!

The Freeland Competitive Cheer Team completed their season with a 4th place finish in their District, just missing out on a trip to Regionals.

Freeland's Boys Bowling Team completed their season, finishing 8th at Regionals. In the individual competition, Taylor Armbruster (30th), Sam Kostrzewa (45th), Jackson Vlassis, (48th), and Jacob Kaczor (49th) all bowled well for the Falcons.

For your calendar: The first day of school for the 2021-2022 school year will be Monday, August 30, 2021.

The Freeland Community School District is looking for two (2) Student Intervention Speicialists to work with our students beginning next year. We are very excited to offer this support to the children we serve.

In anticipation of the pay-off of all Freeland’s outstanding bonds, the School District’s 2.08 debt millage expired with the December 2020 levy. Beginning in 2021, Freeland will not have any bonded debt.

The FNV Griffins ended their Hockey season with a 5-1 loss to Petoskey in the Regional Semifinals on Wednesday. Congratulations on a great season.


Freeland Boys Basketball sweeps the Vikings. Varsity ends the night with a 64-17 win at Swan Valley.

The Freeland Band came out to play for the pregame at the Freeland Girls Basketball win vs. Garber, 47-31. Great job by our band and our basketball teams (the JV also won).


Freeland bests Pinconning and Garber to win the Division III Wrestling District Championship in Essexville. The Falcons advance and will host Regionals next Wednesday.
