
Noun Town ~ First grade students are learning about nouns and created Haunted Halloween Towns today.

Here are this week's SOARing students. All of our students are doing a great job of making positive choices!


Tuesday was a busy day for Mrs. Simon's class as they were paid a visit from Mr. Duley and also spent some time on the STEM Bus.





Members of the Saginaw Spirit hockey team stopped by the Learning Center on Tuesday to talk with our kindergarten students and spend some time in the classroom.




Fireman Don and Fireman Chris visited the Learning Center today to talk about fire safety. They also had the opportunity to eat lunch with the kindergarten students.




Mrs. Griffin's class enjoyed their time on the Mobile Research Lab (STEM Bus) yesterday!





After visiting all of the Y5/K classrooms last week, Mr. Duley visited all of the 1st grade classrooms today to read "A Bug and a Wish." He spent time talking with students about ways to become problem-solvers when attempting to fix problems with peers. Thanks Mr. Duley!



Freeland Learning Center first graders enjoyed their time on the SVSU STEM Bus today!

Reminder ~ Leading up to the Homecoming parade and football game next Friday, the Learning Center will be participating in Spirit Week. Students are encouraged to participate in the following dress-related themes next week, but they certainly do not have to.
Monday – Neon Day (bright colors)
Tuesday – Pajama Day
Wednesday – Mismatch Day
Thursday – Hat Day
Friday – Falcon Pride Day (green and white colors)

The students at the Freeland Learning Center raised $307 today with our Hats On for Cancer event! Thanks to everyone that was able to participate.
