FMS was able to welcome students who are new to Freeland this year at a luncheon on Friday. Thank you to Mr. Fattal and our Student Leadership crew for hosting this event. The students enjoyed pizza and visited with us so that we could get to know them. #GoFalcons

We would like to recognize our FMS September Students of the Month. The staff is choosing 4 8th graders and 4 7th graders each month that display the S.O.A.R. expectations in our building. Each Student of the Month will receive 5 S.O.A.R. tickets for upcoming drawings along with some other prizes. The next SOAR drawing will be at the Homecoming Pep Assembly in October. Our FMS Wednesday Trivia is in full swing and this group was yesterday's champions on general trivia knowledge. They earned SOAR slips and this shout out on social media for their victory! #GoFalcons

FMS wants to wish our 7th and 8th Grade Basketball teams GOOD LUCK on their home opener today starting at 4:30 pm and to our MS Cross Country team heading to Reese MS! #GoFalcons

Our Student Leadership classes are busy getting the hallways decorated and starting to plan the Homecoming festivities for FMS. Thanks to Mrs. Freel and Mrs. Ruffertshofer for leading our crew this year. #GoFalcons

Mr. Kaczor's Team Sports class held the first annual Team Sports Track and Field Championships this past week. FMS Team 2 (aka Da Winners) won in dramatic fashion. They were up by one point going into the last event (the 4x100). They took second in it which made them tied with Team 3. Not allowing ties, they have to go into another event head to head which was the 55 meter dash and they squeaked out the victory! #GoFalcons

Here are today's winners of our Brain Teaser Monday at FMS lunch. They were the first ones to get all 8 rebus puzzles correct to earn SOAR slips and this shout out on social media! #GoFalcons

Students in Mrs. Freel's 7th Grade ELA class did a team building activity where one student was blind folded and had to solve the puzzle with only verbal directions from their peers. They worked together to solve a difficult task and they did were awesome! #GoFalcons

FMS loves to see our students doing cool things in the community! We would like to shout out 8th grader Alex Freier who is the lead for "It's Your Dollar" at WakeUp Midland though the Midland Business Alliance. He does this on the first Friday of the month throughout the school year and his segment highlights local nonprofits and the events they are sponsoring. Great job, Alex! #GoFalcons

FMS would like to wish our 7th and 8th grade football teams good luck on their first game today. Our Falcons host John Glenn today to kick off their season. It was great to see all of the green and white in our hallways on Friday! #GoFalcons

Our FMS lunch game of Categories today had our students thinking of foods that start with the letter C and movies that start with the letter R. This group had the longest list to earn SOAR slips and this shout out on social media! #GoFalcons

This crew won our first FMS lunch trivia event of the 2024-25 school year. The theme was 'Back to School' and we had many teams make it a close one right until the last question. The girls earned SOAR slips for our first drawing that will be held at the Homecoming Pep Assembly at the beginning of October. We have some businesses that we will be shouting out over the next few weeks to thank them for helping us with all of the great prizes we have this year. We appreciate the continued support of our PBIS program here at FMS! #GoFalcons

We have been getting in a routine this week at FMS which means we are back to our lunch fun!
