We would like to recognize our FMS December Students of the Month. The staff is choosing 4 8th graders and 4 7th graders each month that display the S.O.A.R. expectations in our building. Each Student of the Month will receive 5 S.O.A.R. tickets for upcoming drawings along with Saginaw Spirit tickets sponsored by Century 21 Signature Realty - Andrew Hauck. The next SOAR drawing will be on the Friday before Christmas Break. Congratulations to our 8th Grade Falcons! #GoFalcons

In the spirit of our first Snow Day of the year which was last week on Thursday, the trivia theme was all about winter. This group ended up as champions earning them SOAR slips and this shout out on social media! #GoFalcons

Congratulations to FMS Students Autumn Gillis and Morgan Kowalewski on winning the local Patriot's Pen essay contest sponsored by the VFW Post 9809. The theme of this year's essay was My Voice in America's Democracy. They will be honored at a dinner event in St. Louis, MI on January 11. Both students will have a chance to have their essays judged and possibly move on to the state competition in Kalamazoo. #GoFalcons

Did you know that each year our school counselors throughout the district organize Holiday Help for some of our families in need? This year, McDonald Ford reached out to us on how they could help and our counselors are currently working with them to make the holiday season magical for some of our families. As the list of needs kept growing, McDonald Ford enlisted Quick Lane Freeland for additional support of this program and we look forward to sharing how this is progressing and how you can help over the next few weeks! #GoFalcons

FMS is back at our lunch competitions after a nice long Thanksgiving Break and we challenged our students to bring their 'A' game because we are bringing the tough brain teasers for the rest of 2024. Today's winners got 5 out of 8 right by the end of lunch and they were awarded SOAR slips for their efforts. #GoFalcons

This week we would like to spotlight our FMS 8th Grade Math and PE/Health Teacher, Ms. Stephanie Mehnert. Ms. Mehnert has been a staple in the middle school for almost 25 years and we are so thankful she is a Falcon! #GoFalcons

FMS held the Thanksgiving SOAR Drawing yesterday. Congrats to our students who were the big winners! Thank you to Derek Thomas at McDonald Ford and Schauman Construction & Rentals for their generous support of our program as they helped us to secure these fun prizes! #GoFalcons

This week was a tough one for our FMS Brain Teaser Monday but this duo was able to get all 8 correct. They received SOAR slips for our drawing that is happening this afternoon before we leave for break! #GoFalcons
