Congratulations to our FHS Literary Art Club, under the direction of Mrs. Howson, for being honored by The REALM program, which publicly recognizes excellent literary magazines produced by students with the support of their teachers. Painting with Ink, our student publication, has been recognized as a REALM First Class magazine by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
This year, schools in 46 states and five countries nominated 422 student magazines. 125 magazines were awarded the contest’s highest distinction, REALM First Class which included Freeland High School.
Mrs. Howson, advisor of the literary-art club says, "We have worked very hard to build our magazine every year since its inception in 2020 and are proud to celebrate both the humanities and the talented artists and writers at FHS! We would also like to thank Tamara Klida, art teacher, for helping us curate a beautiful collection of pieces!"

FHS is pleased to highlight Mr. Andrew Keson to you. Mr. Keson teaches CAD, Drafting, Manufacturing Tech and Advanced Manufacturing. We are so pleased to have Mr. Keson on our staff!

FHS would like to give a special thanks to the Frankenmuth Credit Union Foundation for Our Communities. This is not the first time that the Frankenmuth Credit Union has supported our school district, and we are so grateful for their generosity.

The Freeland High School SLS club volunteered at the City Rescue Mission in Saginaw last Saturday. Our students were selecting and wrapping gifts for some of the guests.
