Yesterday the FHS mock trial team competed against SASA for Law Day Mock Trials at the Saginaw County Courthouse. Judge Borrello presided over the distracted driving case. Freeland prosecuted and won the jury verdict as well as the "Best Performance" award. This week, freshmen Hana Pan, Ally DeLeeuw, Carolina Mondragon, Marcus Bader, and Jacob Murray, along with sophomore Kailey Maxwell participated in the Optimist Club Oratorical Contest. Hana Pan placed first, Ally DeLeeuw placed second, and Kailey Maxwell placed third. Congratulations to all who gave speeches and helped to spread optimism!

In honor of National Cereal Day, Spanish II students completed a lesson on cereals of the world. Students will discuss and write about their favorite cereals and research popular cereals from Spanish speaking countries to share with their classmates.

Thank you Junior Achievement for visiting our Sophomore English classes to help prepare for Mock Interviews on Thursday. Students were able to put their cover letter, resume and interviewing skills to use by role playing as HR Department members.
