
The Freeland Robotics Club is hosting a Euchre Tournament on October 14, 2023. This is a team event, so grab a partner and sign up, if you do not have a partner, we can find one for you. Dinner and drinks are provided, there will be 50/50 raffles and we will be auctioning off items.
We are also seeking donations for our raffles/silent auction like gift baskets, gift cards, lotto tickets, and/or monetary donations to be used in our basket auctions. Please contact Clint Messing to make arrangements to drop items off or they can be brought to the robotics room on Wednesday’s & Sunday’s from 7-9pm. We appreciate your continued support of our program.


Is your senior looking for a memorable kick off to the year? If so, you may want to decorate their parking space before the first day of school. Bring your chalk and decorate your parking space with school appropriate designs on Sunday, August 27 at 7 pm. We are excited to continue this tradition for our seniors!



Congratulations to the Nouvel-Freeland Clay Target Team. This past weekend the team competed at the USA National Tournament in Mason, MI. In all 1,718 individuals and 240 teams competed from the High School Clay Target League which has over 43,000 shooters in 34 states. It was a phenomenal season ending with our two All State athletes; Ryan Quackenbush (FHS) and Ryan McDonald (NCC). Great job to our entire team this year!

Today, FHS welcomed the Class of 2027 for our Freshman Transition Day. Students spent the morning in a variety of activities to help them learn all about our building expectations. We started the morning getting to know each other by playing clever catch, tug of war. human knot and the marshmallow game.





Congratulations to the Class of 2023 Freeland Scholars ! Today, they were recognized by the Freeland Chamber of Commerce for their achievement in rigorous academic coursework, serving the community through volunteerism, and doing a job shadow or work based learning experience. A special thanks to our guest speaker, Ben Coughlin, from Bayne's Apple Valley for delivering a heartfelt message. Congratulations seniors!



Yesterday, our FHS Student Council members hosted Nouvel's Student Council for a day of learning with one another about the leadership opportunities that we have in our schools. All of the student council members had a great day collaborating together!





The FHS literary-art magazine Painting with Ink 2023, which includes work from student writers and artists, is now available or for sale for $5.00! FHS celebrated Decision Day with our seniors and parents on Thursday. Congratulations to all of our seniors as they prepare to move ahead in college or certificate training, the military, or the world of work! Our community is so proud of you!





Congratulations to FHS junior, Landon Freier, for taking third place in the NATION, in the Business Professionals of American competition in Anaheim, California this last weekend! He created a mobile app concept through his class at the Saginaw Career Complex, and earned this amazing award for his hard work.



FHS students in Mrs. Keefer's Essential Health class traveled to Seung-Ni Fit Club today to attend a self defense class. A special thanks to Master Gary and Josh Franz for hosting and teaching our students today!





The Great Lakes Bay Manufacturers Association (GLBMA) has established the Ken Horn scholarship in honor of Ken’s service to the Great Lakes Bay region and Manufacturing across the state. Their inaugural scholarship was awarded to James Henige of Freeland. James attends our school, the Delta College Early College program, and the Bay Arenac Skill Center. He plans to attend Owen Community college with the Michigan CAT collaboration pursuing an associate degree in Transportation Technology specializing in Diesel/Heavy Equipment. Congratulations James!


FHS students who are members of the Painting with Ink Literary-Art Club had the opportunity to participate in a painting lesson this week, courtesy of our local artist and Freeland employee, Nancy Farley.




FHS students in our AP Government class visited the Elementary School and Learning Center today to gather feedback for our district Graduate Profile. FHS students are participating in Special Olympics at SVSU today. Our students in LINKS and the National Honor Society are assisting those who are competing. It's a great day to show our community our Falcon Pride!





FHS celebrated Autism Awareness throughout this week, sponsored by our Student Council and LINKS. We culminated the week by making a human ribbon today.
