Not only are the Senior banners up around Freeland, but next week each member of the Class of 2020 will receive, with their cap and gown, a print of the banner. Our community is amazing. Community members, parents, Freeland alumni, and so many individuals gave something to make this possible. Businesses and organizations contributed as well, including the Freeland Lions Club, the Freeland Chamber of Commerce, Leaman’s Green Applebarn, Freeland Bean & Grain, United Financial Credit Union, Lady Jane’s Quilt Shop, and so many more... A special thanks to Katryn Coman and the FHS Class of 1970, without whom, this would not have happened, and to our great partners at Tittabawassee Township. Donations more than paid for the project, and we are working on using the remainder to assure the FHS Class of 2020 is made to feel as special as they truly are.

This bus will have great flashers when our students get back in school. Mr. Senkowski is working hard to have our fleet ready for the fall.

Though our buses are not being used these days, there is still a lot of activity on them. Look at how good the steps look!

We miss all of our Falcons. Thank you for sharing Autumn.

Help the FHS Class of 19780 honor the 2020 FHS Graduating Class with banners on the poles throughout Freeland. There 135 seniors in the class. The banner design has been created (see the photo). They cost $3618. They have received $1470 as of yesterday's mail. There will be 2 photos on each banner (back to back) because of the number of poles available. The township will put up the banners and keep them there until they put up the 4th of July banners.
Zentx will print a 12x18 photo of the banner for distribution to the students. They will be given to the school to distribute.
Are you willing to help financially? We' like to see this especially as a gift from the Class of 1970 to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Excess funds will be given to the school for 2020 class graduation activities. Call Kathryn Coman at 989-695-2491. Mail checks to Kathryn Coman at 9685 Mulberry Court, Freeland, MI 48623. If you want to make an electronic payment, use PayPal to her account with email mcsalesbus@aol.com.

Last week the Freeland Schools donated our remaining classroom cleaning supplies to help keep the healthcare workers at Ascension/St. Mary's Hospital safe. We are blessed to have such dedicated individuals caring for the people of Freeland and our region.

To help honor the 2020 FHS Graduating Class, some members of the FHS Class of 1970 liked the photos of the 2020 seniors on banners in Caseville (see photo), and are planning to do the same for Freeland's 2020 Seniors. With photos provided by the school and 138 Seniors in the class, the cost will be about $2000. There will be 2 photos on each banner (back to back) because of the number of poles available. The township will put up the banners and keep them there until they put up the 4th of July banners. Two sets of banners will be made so that each senior can have the banner with their photo.
They are looking for people to help financially, especially graduates of Freeland High School. Contact Kathryn Coman (Class of 1970) at 989-695-2491. Checks can be mailed to her at 9685 Mulberry Court, Freeland, MI 48623. Any funds in excess of the cost of the banners will be given to the FHS to help make the 2020 graduation special for our Seniors.
