Congratulations to Freeland Literacy Art Club contributor Emily Nietling. Emily was recognized with the award for Outstanding Art for her piece, Depth of Adventure, from the ASPA Annual Yearbook, Magazine, and Newspaper Contest.


The Freeland Literacy Art Club received the 1st Place Award, from the American Scholastic Press Annual Yearbook, Magazine, and Newspaper Contest, for their 2021 issue of Painting with Ink. Congratulations!


The Freeland Board of Education will be meeting @ 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in the Performing Arts Center at FHS. All are welcome to attend.

Congratulations Brayden Ruckman, a DECA Regional winner at SVSU from the Saginaw Career Complex, who is now moving on to the State Competition in Detroit.

The FHS Wrestling team will host their 3rd Annual Euchre Tournament (sponsored by the FAA) on January 22 @ 5:30 p.m. This event helps purchase new wrestling equipment, singlets, warm ups, etc. for our athletes. Come support our wrestlers and the FAA at this fun event.

Congratulations to FHS Senior Cole Fournier. Cole has signed a letter of intent to continue his education and wrestling career at Davenport University.

The FMS robotics team, 5386 Freeland Fabricators, competed in the First Tech Challenge State Championship, finishing 5th in qualifying, Team Captaining in the playoffs, falling in the semi-finals, & being named a Finalist for the Think Award. Congratulations on a great season!

Congratulations to FHS Senior Sophie Argyle. Sophie (shown with FHS Golf Coach Ciaran Byrne) has signed a letter of intent to continue her education and golf career at Trine University.

The Saginaw ISD recognized the deserving members of Freeland's Student Support Team this month. We are glad they publicly shared what we already know: Ms. Tijerina, Ms. Castillo, Ms. Seliskar, Mr. Duley, Ms. Essex, & Ms. Gordon are doing a great job for our kids.

Freeland Schools participated last summer in the Meet Up and Eat Up Summer Food Service Program. Our dedicated food service staff made a positive impact on the children in our community by providing healthy meals and programing. They were recognized by the State today!

FHS physics classes were "eggcellant" this week. The Eggsplosive Safety Project, in which students used their knowledge of Newton’s Laws in an attempt to counteract the force of gravity to keep their egg passenger safe, provided great data in this formal lab activity.


Due to challenges with having enough bus drivers, the start time for Friday's Girls Varsity Basketball Game @ Birch Run has been moved to 6:30 p.m. Go Falcons!

Congratulations to FHS Senior Logan Kipfmiller. Logan signed a letter of intent on Sunday and will be continuing his education and baseball career at Delta College in the fall of 2022. We are excited for Logan, and wish him a great senior year before he leaves for Delta.
