Freeland Girls Basketball opened Districts with a 53-34 win over Essexville Garber on Monday. They face Arthur Hill at 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the District Semi-Finals.

Freeland is in search of an awesome elementary special education teacher. Must love kids, serve this community, work hard, and put student learning first. Sound like anyone you know? We can't wait to meet them.


The FNV Griffins season ended Saturday with a 5-1 loss to Traverse City Central. FNV shared a Conference Championship and reached the Regional Finals in 20-21. We would like to recognize Freeland's Hockey seniors: Alex Deeter, Adam Deeter, Brody Wheatley, & Connor Dvorak.

With the Bowling Season wrapping up, the Freeland boys place 6th and the girls placed 7th at Team Regionals. Jackson Vlassis was Regional Individual Champion (1125) and Zoey Markey finished 9th (1007), as both advance to the State Finals.

Due to changes in CDC requirements, beginning Monday, it is not mandatory for individuals in the Freeland Schools to wear masks on buses. Those that wish to continue to mask are welcome to do so.

Falcons Girls Basketball tops Swan Valley to end their regular season.


Freeland's Home Varsity Basketball vs. Swan Valley, scheduled for tonight (2/25), will be played as scheduled. Girls @ 6, boys to follow.

Freeland K-6 STEM teacher Jessi Koehler was named by SVSU as a "STEM Star," recognizing her work and contribution to science, technology, engineering, & math education in the Great Lakes Bay Region. In addition to the award, Mrs. Koehler received a grant for her classroom.

FNV Hockey topped the Tri-Valley Titans 8-1 last night in Regional Hockey. The Griffins face the Bay City Wolves on Wednesday night, 6:00, @ the Bay County Civic Arena. Go Griffins!

Two (2) members of the Freeland High School Bass Team (Nathan Helmreich & Brayden Ruckman) have been invited to take part in the Bassmaster High School Classic in South Carolina on March 5th. They will be representing Freeland as one of ten invited teams from across the country!

Freeland's TVC Bowling Honors: Jackson Vlassis (1st Team All Conference), Jacob Kaczor (Honorable Mention), Zoey Markey (2nd Team), Anna Wanless (2nd Team) & Grace Kostrzewa (Honorable Mention). The teams head to Regionals this weekend.
