A group of talented 7th and 8th grade students at Freeland Middle School recently demonstrated their engineering prowess by fabricating custom-built wall shelves. The project required precise measurements, metal cutting, metal forming, and spray painting techniques.
The students, under the guidance of Mr. Keson, worked diligently to design and construct shelves that not only met their functional needs but also showcased their creativity and technical skills. They carefully measured the dimensions of their desired space, selected appropriate materials, and then used metal cutting tools to shape the shelves.
Once the basic structure was in place, the students applied metal forming techniques to create curved edges or other decorative elements. Finally, they completed their projects by carefully spray painting the shelves in their chosen colors.
The finished wall shelves are a testament to the students' hard work and dedication. They not only serve as practical storage solutions but also as beautiful pieces of functional art. The project has helped to foster the students' interest in manufacturing technologies and inspire them to pursue further studies in the field.
