Congratulations to the Class of 2019! Last night, we held commencement for our graduates and some of our staff got in on the fun!

Congratulations to FHS student Olivia Spencer! She won the judges choice award for this realistic drawing, and it will be on display for a year in the main office.


FHS sends a big thank you to our LINKS this year! Last week we held an end of the year celebration with all of our students, and we are so grateful for their service to our school and their fellow students.


Welcome to the Class of 2023! Today FHS shared the morning with all of our incoming 9th graders helping prepare them for what to expect when they come to high school in the fall. We are looking forward to seeing you in September.


Congratulations to FHS student, Connor Van Loo, who competed in Reno, Nevada at the Men’s Gymnastics Junior Olympic National Competition recently. He placed 4th All Around, 2nd on Vault, 7th on Parallel bars, and 8th on Floor and Pommel Horse.


Congratulations to our Freeland Scholars! These graduates have taken more rigorous courses, completed job shadow experiences, and spent at least 100 hours providing community service. We are so proud of your accomplishments.

FHS celebrated a great night at the Fine and Applied Arts Festival! Many student pieces of artwork and craftsmanship were on display in our lobby and the bands performed an awesome concert.





This week, FHS would like to highlight one of our teachers, Mr. Guentert. This is his 23rd year at FHS.
He feels the most rewarding thing about teaching is hearing from graduates who tell him that having him for a teacher prepared them for college and/or life. Mr. Guentert enjoys working with students and said that we have great kids who are fun to interact with everyday.


Come out and join FHS for our Fine and Applied Arts Exhibition on May 14th. From 4-7 pm, student art and technical work will be on display in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Following this open exhibit, the bands will perform their spring concert at 7 pm.

Last Friday, FHS celebrated College and Career Decision Day with our entire student body. Our College and Career Advisor, Mrs. Tomsich, recognized our seniors for their post secondary plans, and a reception with parents followed the assembly. .





FHS Advanced Chemistry students participated in the Society of Plastics Engineers Essay Contest. Congrats to our students who won! 2nd place-Noah Mehl ($300); 3rd place Savannah Fiorenza ($200); 4th place James Wayne ($100); and 5th place Keely Folts ($50). Todd Hogan presented awards from DowDuPont.


The Spanish I classes at FHS celebrated Language Appreciation Week with a poster contest. Congratulations to our winners!

The FHS Sociology class visited the City Rescue Mission and learned about community resources for the homeless and provided some important community service while they were there. .


Congratulations to FHS Senior Jacob Draves! Jacob was awarded a $500 scholarship and was recognized today as our Turn Around Student of the Year. Jacob was nominated by his teachers, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Peters.

Zach Ventimiglia received a third place in wrought metal furniture for his bench.
Evan Dubuque received a first place in wrought metal furniture for his writing desk.
