High School students should get ready for a great day on September 20th! That day is Clash for a Cure. New this year is an outdoor lunch opportunity for high school students only. We are bringing in a food truck and tables for students who want to eat outside.
Interested in participating in the Homecoming Parade? The parade is Friday, October 4th and all parade applications must be returned by Friday, 9/27. Applications can be picked up in all school offices.
We are proud of our FHS students who participated in the Michigan State University Research Program this summer. Jessica Messing developed Programming, Britnee Niedzielski studied Hydrogels, and Liam Pan studied Energy. They presented their research to the public last night.

Congratulations to FHS student, Connor Van Loo, who competed in Reno, Nevada at the Men’s Gymnastics Junior Olympic National Competition recently. He placed 4th All Around, 2nd on Vault, 7th on Parallel bars, and 8th on Floor and Pommel Horse.

FHS celebrated a great night at the Fine and Applied Arts Festival! Many student pieces of artwork and craftsmanship were on display in our lobby and the bands performed an awesome concert.
This week, FHS would like to highlight one of our teachers, Mr. Guentert. This is his 23rd year at FHS.
He feels the most rewarding thing about teaching is hearing from graduates who tell him that having him for a teacher prepared them for college and/or life. Mr. Guentert enjoys working with students and said that we have great kids who are fun to interact with everyday.
Come out and join FHS for our Fine and Applied Arts Exhibition on May 14th. From 4-7 pm, student art and technical work will be on display in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Following this open exhibit, the bands will perform their spring concert at 7 pm.
Last Friday, FHS celebrated College and Career Decision Day with our entire student body. Our College and Career Advisor, Mrs. Tomsich, recognized our seniors for their post secondary plans, and a reception with parents followed the assembly. .
