Students in Mrs. Howson's English 9 Honors class are learning rhetorical devices. They had to create a costume and FlipGrid lesson for their assigned device to teach it to the class. They did an amazing job, displaying both knowledge and creativity!

Winter is coming! Auditions for the 2023 musical, Frozen, will be Tuesday, December 6th and Thursday, December 8th in the high school band room from 2:45p-8:30pm. Roles are open to all students Kindergarten-12th grade and a variety of dancers, singers, gymnasts, and comedians are needed. Please prepare a 30-second clip of a song of your choice to sing; a cd player and phone connection will be provided for your music. Today, Ms. Griffen visited Mrs. Neal’s Health classes from Gift of Life Michigan. Students learned about organ, tissue, and eye donation and were able to handle plastinated organs and tissues and wear corneal blindness simulation glasses.




Congratulations to FHS freshman, Isabel Cumper, as she won The All American Quarter Horse Congress Championship title last Sunday in barrels! The All American Quarter Horse Congress hosts the largest National Youth Team Tournament competition in the world, and we are so proud of Isabel!

Lat Friday, our marching band traveled to HealthSource, and played for their residents. The partnership between our school district and HealthSource, provides mutual benefits to both our students and their patients. Great job band!



FHS students in Mrs. Aimar's Sociology class are studying cultural diversity. To celebrate, they created presentations and brought foods from various cultures to share with their class.





FHS students in Mrs. Clark's STEM class were working on a projectile motion lab today. They were investigating the independence of horizontal and vertical components of motion and predicting the landing point of a projectile.



Congratulations to senior Brayden Ruckman for accepting a scholarship to attend the University of Montevallo in Alabama. Brayden is the
first Freeland HS Bass team member to sign a scholarship to fish in college, and we are so proud of his accomplishments!



FHS students in Mrs. Short's 5th hour Chemistry class were helping Mrs. Richardson's students in the lab. They completed a flame test lab to identify different metals.





FHS students decorated the hallways for a homecoming competition. This year's theme is Music Genres. Freshmen have jazz, sophomores have pop, juniors have rock, and seniors have country. Great job to all of our students who worked so hard on their hallways!





FHS would like to thank Harbor Freight! Mr. Drown received a $200 donation to be used for supplies in our woodshop, and we are so grateful for their generosity. #HarborFreightHappy


FHS students in Mrs. Richardson's class worked with Mrs. Farley and their LINKS partners to learn about mixing colors. Afterwards, the class painted with leaves and created beautiful pictures.

Congratulations to FHS Senior Brandon Earls, who competed in a Cornhole World Competition last week in Branson, Missouri. He took 17th place and earned a position as an ACO Cornhole Professional.
