This week, the Freeland Community School District is highlighting our Director of Transportation / Bus Mechanic, Mr. Jamie Senkowski, who joined the Freeland Community School District over nine years ago. In every successful school district, there are unsung heroes working behind the scenes to make sure students get to and from school safely each day.  In the Freeland Community School District, we have an incredible transportation team, from our bus drivers to our Transportation Coordinator to our Director of Transportation, all of which play an integral role in keeping our students safe. 

Jamie wears many hats in the district, and each one is essential to the smooth operation of our transportation department.  From managing bus routes and coordinating schedules to conducting safety checks and completing mechanical repairs, he ensures that our fleet is well-maintained, compliant with state safety regulations, and ready to roll - even in the face of challenging weather or tight turnaround times.  Whether responding to an unexpected breakdown or planning ahead for a new school year, Jamie approaches his work with precision and care.
