Kelly & Daughter

This week, the Freeland Community School District is highlighting our District Office Executive Secretary, Mrs. Kelly Baker.   Kelly has worked in the Freeland Community School District for 10 years, while having served in education for 23 years in total.  Kelly is oftentimes the first person you will see or hear, along with Mrs. Hall, when you enter or call the District Office.  In her role, Kelly not only supports the District Office, but she is the go-to-person for our building secretaries and all staff throughout the district.  She always goes above and beyond, can take on any challenge you put in front of her, and she is the consummate professional.

When asked what she finds most rewarding about her position, Kelly said, “I enjoy working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.  It is very rewarding to be part of a great team that works together to keep the wheels in motion at FCSD.”  In terms of a favorite memory over the last ten years, she shared, “I can’t narrow it down to just one.  I am very fortunate to work with a great group of people that make coming to work each day memorable and fun.”  As much fun as work is, Kelly enjoys her time away as well.  “In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our children (ages 15, 14, 12, and 5).  We don’t leave home much, as we have a small hobby farm, but when we do, we enjoy fishing, swimming, exploring at thrift stores, and horseback riding.”

Thank you Mrs. Baker for all you do for the Freeland Community School District!  Your dedication and service are truly appreciated!
