Freeland Community School District

This week, Freeland Elementary School is proud to highlight second grade teacher Mrs. Tamara Benkert.  Believe it or not, this is her 25th year teaching in Freeland!   Mrs. Benkert is a very optimistic, positive person and always willing to pitch in and lend a helping hand.  One of the things that makes her an asset is her sincere passion for teaching and her desire to help students become the best they can be.

When asked what she finds most rewarding about her position, Mrs. Benkert said, “It's rewarding to watch my students flourish academically and socially.  I love seeing students making connections that are applied to life situations both in the classroom and beyond.”  She also shared that what she enjoys most about working in the Freeland Community School District is, “I love having the opportunity to work with my colleagues who never cease to amaze me with their abilities, dedication, and to also look out for not only each other, but the well-being of our students.”  Thank you Mrs. Benkert for all you do for Freeland Elementary School and the Freeland Community School District!
