Freeland Community School District

Freeland Middle School is thrilled to introduce you to a familiar face in the Freeland community. Mrs. DeLong has been an educator in the district for 26 years. She began her career here as the elementary Media Center Librarian, but we were lucky enough to be able to transition her up to the secondary level about four years ago. For the last several years, Mrs. DeLong has been our Media Center Librarian at the middle and high school. However, she is a jack of all trades. During her time at the secondary level, Mrs. DeLong has also supported our students as a co-op advisor for FHS, online mentor for 7th-12th grade students, and occassionally also teaches 7th and 8th grade English sections when we have larger class sizes. Mrs. DeLong really can do it all! The most rewarding part of her position is working with the students. She loved working with the younger students over the last two decades, but said that working with the older students is just as rewarding. Mrs. DeLong loves the district, and truly feels it is a community of individuals that care for one another.
