This week, Freeland Middle School is highlighting Mrs. Amber Furst, special education teacher. Mrs. Furst has been a teacher in our district for two years. She is in her 22nd year of teaching. She has absolutely loved watching her students grow and learn over the last two years, and is excited to be working with so many great students this year. One of her goals is to always strive to make a positive impact on students. The thing that Mrs. Furst has most enjoyed about Freeland is watching the community come together to celebrate achievements, coordinate the Walleye festival, and support the school and community in times of need. In addition to working with great students at Freeland, Mrs. Furst commented that the FCSD staff is the best of the best! She has been so impressed at how hard every staff member works here to achieve the common goal of educating students.
