Due to Sunday night’s Emergency Order from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services please realize the following:
Across the Freeland Community School District
- Community programs using the school facilities are now prohibited.
- Wednesday night’s Board of Education meeting will now be held over Zoom.
Freeland High School:
- Monday, M-Z day at FHS as scheduled.
- Tuesday, A-L day at FHS as scheduled.
- Beginning Wednesday, November 18, 2020, FHS “virtual” students will not be able to access assistance at FHS until after December 8th.
- Beginning Wednesday, November 18, 2020, FHS “in-person” learners will be remote for three (3) weeks (through Tuesday, December 8, 2020).
- This Wednesday & Thursday will be “off days” for students with no instruction taking place.
- Beginning Friday, November 20th, and following the school schedule through December 8th, all “in-person” FHS students will attend synchronous learning with their classroom teachers, each school day, through Zoom and utilization of Google Classroom. Each student will report for their on-line class each day, as if s/he were physically present. A formal schedule will be shared by Tuesday.
- Should we be allowed to return to “in-person” learning at FHS on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, it will be an M-Z day.
- The FHS Cognitively Impaired classroom will continue to meet “in-person” at FHS. Transportation will continue to be provided in the same manner it has been.
- Students receiving Special Education or English Language Services at FHS will receive information about programming by Tuesday.
- Students participating in programs at SCC will receive information by Tuesday.
- Student needing information about other off-site programs will receive it as it becomes available.
- Winter practices have been suspended until Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
- The MHSAA Football Playoffs have been suspended.
- All “in-person” extra-curricular activities are prohibited.
Freeland Middle School: No changes at this time
Freeland Elementary School: No changes at this time
Freeland Learning Center: No changes at this time
